Where Can I Purchase Cheap Tassimo Coffee Pods?
Tassimo Pods range from cappuccino and latte to Yunnan espresso, chai tea latte, chocolate caramel and lots more. You can find Tassimo Pods on offer at local supermarkets, discount stores and online in the UK.
Amazon…
Online retailers such as Amazon offer the cheapest Tassimo Pods. For example, a 4 pack Tassimo Latte Bundle consisting of a Costa Latte, Costa Caramel Latte, Latte Macchiato and others go for £17.79. This works out to about £0.56. This is not bad, but if you are smart, we recommend going for a pack of 5 or more.
Also on Amazon, the Tassimo Kenco Americano Grande Coffee Pods pack of 5 with a total of 80 capsules goes for £17.01. This translates to £0.21 per capsule.
You can choose to buy reusable coffee capsules on Amazon. Compatible with Bosch Tassimo Machines, the reusable coffee capsules are the same size as the ones you buy in shops. With these capsules, you can DIY coffee and spend less. On Amazon UK, the 60 ml and 180 ml reusable coffee capsules go for £11.99.
While the reusable coffee capsules are not similar to the standard coffee pods, you can make tastier coffee. Plus, the capsules preserve the beans’ original taste and enable you to flow out mild coffee with a nice crema.
Made of food-grade stainless steel, the reusable capsules are safe, healthy and you can avoid the strange taste in your coffee.
Supermarkets…
At Sainsbury’s, the Tassimo Kenco Americano Smooth Coffee Pods (16 pack) go for £3.50. Tesco sells the Tassimo Costa Americano Coffee Pods for £ 3.99 or £2.78/100g. Per capsule, Tassimo Pods range from 18p per capsule to 65p.
Other supermarkets such as ASDA, Co-op, ALDI, LIDL, and Waitrose price their Tassimo Coffee Pods similar to Sainsbury’s and Tesco. As such, per capsule, it still works out at 42p. This is too much compared to Amazon, where a capsule goes for 16p to 65p. The good news is the supermarket deal is better than buying from the Tassimo webshop, where a capsule goes for 45p.

Tassimo Pods Recycling
All Tassimo Coffee Pods and other products are recyclable. Tassimo has a recycling program called Podback. Coffee pods are usually taken to a specialist reprocessing plant in the UK. Here, the packaging is generally separated from the used coffee grounds.
The grounds create soil improver and renewable energy. Tassimo transforms aluminium and plastic into new products. They include plastic garden furniture and beverage cans. You can drop off your filled Podback recycling bag at the nearest Collect+ store. Make sure to label your Podback recycling bag so that Tassimo can return it via Collect+.
Besides drop off at a Collect+ store, fill a Podback Kerbside recycling bag with used pods. Leave the bag outside with your household rubbish. To get your Kerbside recycling bag, register for a free Podback account.

Final Thoughts
Most Tassimo Coffee Pods have a shelf life of 9 to 12 months. If you open a coffee pod packaging, use it within 6 weeks. You can also check the best before date printed on the packaging. This ensures that the coffee pods you’re about to buy are not old stock.
You can use Tassimo Coffee pods more than once. Just wash out the remaining coffee grounds from inside the pod, refill with fresh coffee and seal. Now, you can reuse the pod. Warning, the coffee pod may explode under pressure or could even damage your coffee machine. As such, we do not recommend it.
After using your coffee pods, do not put them in your recycling bin. Tassimo has a recycling program where you can drop off the used coffee pods. Some local councils also have recycling schemes that recycle coffee pods. Check with your local council for more information.
