To demonstrate that HuYu is not a scam, Dunnhumby offers HuYu users a way to ensure the data science company no longer uses their data. All you need to do is contact the HuYu support team with a “data removal request” on the subject.

How Do You Join HuYu?

To join HuYu, you must first download the app. Visit the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Install the app in your smartphone, then launch it.

Sign up using your Facebook, Google or Apple details from the home screen. Once you sign up, you can start scanning your receipts and earn rewards. You can use HuYu as a guest user, but you will lose your points if you change your smartphone or lose your phone.

To prevent this, we recommend signing up. It’s free and only takes less than 5 minutes. If you lose your smartphone, but your account was active, download the app to your new smartphone and sign in to your account. You’ll find all your points.

Make sure to sign up using the same sign-up method and email. For example, if you signed up with your Apple ID, do not sign up again with your Facebook or Gmail details. Doing so will create a new account with no points in it. If you have issues with your account, contact HuYu’s support team.

How Do You Earn Money On HuYu?

Guide to Scanning Receipts on Huyu…

Shop at Tesco, Morrisons, ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Aldi, Lidl, Co-op or Waitrose, launch the HuYu app and scan the in-store receipts. The receipts need to be clear and genuine. They should belong to you or a member of your household. Make sure to scan the in-store receipts and upload within 7 days of the receipt date.

HuYu does not accept older receipts. Neither does the company accept receipts from members not belonging to your household. It’s essential to ensure that HuYu can read the receipt. If it’s blurred, damaged, has parts missing or unidentifiable text, HuYu will reject it. As such, you won’t earn any points.

If shopping online, you can forward your e-receipt or email receipt to HuYu. Use HuYu’s forward e-receipt feature to submit your order confirmation email. You ought to know that HuYu does not process email attachments.

For each valid e-receipt, you’ll earn 10 HuYupoints. There is a limit to the number of e-receipts you can submit in a week. HuYu limits shoppers to 2 e-receipts in every 7 days. Also, HuYu does not accept e-receipts from other retailers. But in future, they may expand the list of accepted retailers.

Can You Refer Your Friends on HuYu?

You can invite your friends to HuYu by sharing your referral codes. Once your friend downloads the HuYu app and scans the first receipt, you’ll both earn points. One friend can only use one referral code. You can only refer a friend for points for a limited time.

How Much Can You Earn On HuYu?

When you scan and submit an in-store receipt, you’ll earn 5 points per receipts and 10 points per receipts when you forward e-receipts. If you refer a friend and they scan and submit their first receipt, you’ll both earn 50 points plus 5 points for the receipt.

Every 500 points are worth £5. This is the minimum redeemable amount.
