What Is McDonald's Wrap of the Day Today? A Day-by-Day Guide If you've ever wondered…
Theme Parks that Offer a Rainy Day Guarantee
A trip to a theme park is usually something that is planned in advance, rather than on the spur of the moment. This does sometimes mean that the weather is not always as good as you would have hoped.
Luckily, this is something that some parks do understand. Many of them have a rainy day guarantee which offers free tickets if the day you visit is particularly wet. These tickets can be used on another day when the weather is hopefully a bit better. More details about the attractions that offer this guarantee and how you can take advantage of it can be found below.
Alton Towers…
Alton Towers is a theme park in Staffordshire that is known for thrill rides such Nemesis and Oblivion. If the weather is too wet, then certain rides may have to close. Alton Towers offers a rainy day guarantee if it rains continuously for more than an hour on the day of your visit. You will find a list of days where the guarantee has come into effect on the official website. If you had a ticket for any day on the list that was booked in advance, then you will be entitled to claim another ticket for free. You can reserve this ticket online and you also need to retain your original ticket as this will need to be shown in order to receive your free ticket, which can be collected on the day of your second visit.

Chessington World of Adventures…
Chessington World of Adventures is a theme park which is located in Surrey. It can be reached by train from Central London in around 35 minutes. As well as the rides, there is also a small zoo that visitors can enjoy. If it rains on the day of your visit for more than an hour continuously, and you have booked your visit in advance, then you can take advantage of their rainy day guarantee. When you are planning your second visit, you will need to reserve your tickets online. When you go to the ticket office on the day of your visit, you will be able to exchange this reservation and your original ticket for a free ticket.

Thorpe Park is also located within Surrey, and is even closer to London than Chessington. The park has thrill rides such as Stealth and Colossus, as well as plenty to do for young children and those who prefer tamer rides. They offer a rainy day guarantee if any rides at the park have to be closed for more than an hour due to the weather. The days where this applies will be listed on the website. There is also a link on the website that you can follow to reserve your tickets for the second visit. You will need to show this reservation and your original ticket at the ticket office in order to receive your free ticket.

There is more than you may think to explore outdoors here and so you would miss out if it were raining. They also list the days that are covered by their rainy day promise on their website. If you have visited on one of these days, then you can return for free within sixty days. You do not need to pre-book a ticket online, but you will need to have your original ticket with you when you go for your second visit.
